Once ordained, he should find out what documentation, if any, is needed in order to marry you by contacting the office that will issue your marriage license.

Once you have your ordained minister in place, you will need to go to your county clerk’s office to get a marriage license for a fee. The ordained minister should submit his documentation, if it was required. The couple can then decide if they want to go to just get married with their witnesses and have a small or invite many guests to a large wedding. If you would rather hire a planner to handle everything, find out how much it will cost. A planner can be expensive, but if you have the money, it is your choice to have one. You will need to discuss with the planner how much you want to spend on each item, such as caterers, florists, ushers, and musicians.

During the planning, the couple will need to figure out what their wedding vows will be. You do not necessarily have to read a script.
